Inspired by a portrait photograph taken by Gered Mankowitz at RCA Studios in Hollywood at the close of The Rolling Stones 1965 Tour, Mick ‘65 captures the youthful charisma of Mick Jagger during a defining moment in the band’s rise.
The artwork reflects the vibrant “Peace and Love” spirit of 1965 while portraying the unmistakable look of a young Jagger. A fluorescent paisley shirt, accented pink lips, and a subtle upturned smirk embody the iconic style and swagger of the blue-eyed frontman.
The 18” x 27” artwork is an edition of 200, signed by both Walter Knabe and Gered Mankowitz. Created using Walter's signature hand-crafted screen printing and hand- painted detail on heavy, tactile paper.
A certificate of authenticity, signed by both Walter Knabe and Gered Mankowitz, will be provided along with the purchase of the screen print.
About Walter Knabe Limited Edition Screenprints
Hand crafted original artwork, developed layer by layer in an approach similar to how Walter develops his original paintings. Each color is a separate screen and hand printed separately on every print in the edition. Each piece of paper in the edition is hand ripped to accommodate the custom size of each print.
